Apply for a Cybersave Account

How to apply for a Cybersave Account

The account can be operated and opened in one of two ways:

  • by yourself if you are over 7 years of age
  • held 'in trust' which means your parent(s),  guardian(s) or grandparent(s) will operate the account for you.  Accounts for under 7's must be held 'in trust'

Please get an adult to help you fill in the correct application form for you.

Download the Application Form that's right for you:

You should complete the details on-screen, then print the Application Form

If you are eligible and have applied for a Dual-Function Card check that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions (opens in a new window).

You should print a copy of these Terms and Conditions (opens in a new window) and retain a copy for your own records before you sign the Application Form.  By signing, you are therefore accepting the Terms and Conditions.

The following standing order mandate can be used if you want to put money into your account on a regular basis.  Complete the form and give it to your branch once the account has been opened.

Once the forms are complete, take them into your nearest Clydesdale Bank branch with the necessary ID (see below for ID requirements).

Identification Requirements

We realise you are young and you may not have the ID we need.  We ask that your parent or guardian come with you and bring:

  • A document to verify their ID, such as a current passport or photocard driving licence.
  • Your current passport, birth certificate or NHS medical card

Other documents are also acceptable for both you and your parent(s), guardian(s) or grandparent(s) if you do not have any of the items detailed above - please ask in branch for further details.

This will enable us to open the account.

What Happens Next?

The branch will open your account as quickly as possible.

  • You will receive a pack of information and goodies when the account is open.
  • If you have ordered a Dual-Function Card this will be sent to you in the post.
  • You will then receive regular statements which will show how much money you have and the transactions you have made.
